lung cancer

2)  Lung cancer is caused by several reasons. The first is the daily cigarette consumption and air pollution. The smoke contains toxic chemicals that are released in the smoke that smokers produce. “The chemicals accumulate in the lungs and eventually cause cell damage”. And also de passive smokers can had a long cancer because the smoke of the smokers is in the air and a passive smoker can inhale and be contaminate. Another Long cancer reason is Endogenous factors, Industrial risks, urban pollution and atmospheric, Scarring: bronchial pathology prior and virus.

4.- The therapies that can be used in lung cancer are generally the  Biological therapy; this therapy can control or stop the growth of cancer cells. This type of Biological therapy can treat the two types of lung cancer (SCLC and NSCLC). The doctors of this treatment use many types of drugs, including: erlotinib (Tarceva), gefitinib (Iressa) and crizotinib (Xalcori). The erlotinib, knowed by his brand name Tarceva, works by blocking particular proteins called epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) that works in the cancer cells. The gefitinib has the brand name       Iressa, it also works blocking the epidermal growth factor receptors, the gefitinib is the number 1 treatment recommended to the NSCLC. The crizotinib with the brand name Xalcori, only works helping the advanced NSCLC in people that the cancer cells have an overactive version of a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK).

5) The possibilities of recover of the long cancer depends of your grade of your tumour if is really advanced is very difficult to cure, bad if the cancer is “new” you have a big chance of survive. The traditional medicine has a lot of treatment to do de recuperation more possible like pharmaceutical and chemotherapy.

6) There are no remedies only treatments and surgeries if the cancer is in face 1 (joust beginning) you can make a surgeries but if is in a hire level you have to do like a chemotherapy pre other treatments. That are like the remedies to cure Long Cancer.

7.-What are the cost involved? ( 5 lines minimum)

The cost have been difficult to measure. The primary obstacle to quantification is the intermittent and long term nature of treatment for this disease. A complete record of expenses cannot usually be obtained from one source, however, a review of all the national health surveys, as well as the Medicare, which is maintained by the Health Care Financing Administration in a format suitable for calculation of cumulative medical expenses . The lifetime cost of treating lung cancer is $ 12.510.

8.-Do health programs in Chile cover this treatment expenses? How about health programs of USA, New Zealand, Australia or any European country? ( you can refer to only one) ( 10 lines minimum)

In Chile,  we have the AUGE plan which is a national law N°19.966 for all Chilean to have their health program guaranteed by the Government.

Doctor Sergio Kleinman says that this cancer is not considered in AUGE plan yet, but lung cancer surgery  it is covered by the public and private system. The problem are the treatments for lung cancer patients.

.

In the USA cancer health disparities are not only an economic and medical concern but also a moral and ethical dilemma for the USA-

Many problems such financial and geographic barriers to treatment; ineffective provider patient communication; inadequate screening, and insufficient post treatment and long term follow up can occur in varying combination over time, resulting in increased lung cancer related costs. In the USA, one thing has become clear : social injustice leading to unfair inequities are most part of these problems.

The NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE, part of the National Institute of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services, is the Nation´s principal agency for cancer research and coordinates the National Cancer Program.

As a federal agency, NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE receives its funds from Congress. The NCI´s busget has been approximately $ 4.9 billion per year.

Other federal agencies, state and local governments, voluntary organizations, private institutions, and industry spend substantial amounts of money trying hard to help cancer patients, their treatments, drugs and others.

essay

                                                             Alternative  Medicine

atleast 5paragraphs.
1:Intro:You state why you do not defend the opposite topic.
2,3,4: supporting information
5.- conclution

Alterntive medicine is the natural treatment of disease and existed since ancient times long before conventional medicine was ever introduced and if you think of human history it will not be hard to defend this kind of medicine. In fact , "alternative medicine" is been practiced for about 2.000 years before the conventional medicine, so this is relatively new and not traditional .Conventional medicine should rightly be called " alterntive ".Beside, we have no reason to admit that Western medicine is better than alternative just because is the one they mostly teach in medical schools and because  is medicine as practiced by most of  MDs( medical doctor)
.

The conventional medicine is concerned with treating the symptoms of disease by scientific techniques and technology instead of treating the whole person and the cause of disease. We all know that the same treatment cannot be situable for everyone since each one is unique in his physical, mental, and spiritual build.
It is not a secret how powerfull is and how much money earns the farmaceutical industry. Many conventional health proffesional have risen against drug prices, accusing the industry of having lost its moral compass and introducing more altenative medicine treatments to their pacients.
Today, 20% of adults use some kind of complementary and alternative medicine ( CAM ) in pursuit of health and well-being. CAM practice are, over time, become widely acepted. Acupuncture, Yoga, Meditation and natural products including Probiotic and Botanicals are pretty much accepted even for conventional health professionals because of their great results
.

Finally, the alternative medicine treatments are very promising ,doctors are including them for disease treatments, are a lot less expensive than pharmaceutical treatments and people are using this kind of medicine because seeks to treat the whole person and each one as an unique human being.
I believe is a great possibility and I recomended.

                                             Summary Nº 2

I went on the river side, and the otrher followed me. I felt a hand introducing himself under my arm. He had planning to be assistant manager , the coming of that Kurtz had upset them both not a little.
The smell of mud, the high stillnessof primeval forest was before my eyes. Al this was great, while the man jabbered about himself. I wondered whether the stilness on the face of the immensity lookingat us two were meant as an appeal or as a mence.I felt how was that thing and perhaps was deaf as well. What was in there? I had heard Mr. Kurtz was in there. Yet some how I did not bring  any image with it. I went for Kurtz near enough to a lie. I hate lie because it appals me. Near enough to it by letting the young fool there believe anything he liked to image as to my influence in Europe.I though it would be of help for me to that Kurtz. He was just a word for me. I did not see the man.
The young man though that Kurtz was a genius and that even him neeeded to work with intteligent men. There was physical impossibility for him to make bricks. I was well aware, and if he did secretarial work for the manager it was because he wanted to win the confidence of his superiors.
I really wanted rivets to stop the hole and there was not one rivet to be found where it was wanted. We had plats that would do, but nothing to fasten them with.Thrree carries could had brought all that was wanted to set tht steamboat.
He was becoming confidential now, but I must exasperated him at last. I said him , he was a intteligent man so he could find the way. He changed his menners and became cold and started to talk about hippopotamus, said the animal has a charmed life.
I was not surprised to see somebody sitting on the deck. I asked him we shall have rivets, he said no rivets I did not know of any reason why we should not get the rivets  They will come in 3 weeks, I said.
But they did not, instead of rivets there came an invasion, a visitationIt came in sections during the next 3 weeksEach section headed by a donkey carrying a white man. A quarrelsome band of footsoresulky niggers trod on the heels of the donkey; a lot of tents and other things would be shot down in the courtyard. The air of mistery became in the station. Five such instalments came, one would think, they were lugging, after a raid.. They called itself Eldorado Exploring Expedition there was not an atom of foresight or of serious intention. The uncle of our manager was the leader of that lot.
I was given up about rivets I had plenty of time for meditation. I gave thoughts to Kurtz. I was curious to see wether this man would climb to the top after all and how he would work when there.

                                                         Sumarry  (pages 20-30)

I met a white man. He was the company`chef accountant, from his lips I first heard the name of Kurtz.
He had been nearly three years in tha station.. Everything in the stationbut him was in a muddle.
I had to wait in the tation for 10 days- an eternity.
The accountant said Kurtz was a remarkable person since he sent as much ivory as all the others put
   together.
Next day I left the station with a caravan of 60 men. I passed through several abandoned villages.
Once a while a man very festive , not to say drunk was looking after the upkeep of the road , he declared can not say I saw any road or any upkeep. I had a white companion too, not a bad chap. He was very anxious for me to kill somebody. I remember the old doctor  " It would be interesting for science to watchthe mental changes of individualson the spot ". I felt I was becoming scientificaly interesting . On the f15 days I came in sight of the big river.
White man with the long staves in their hands appeared. On of them informed me that my steamer was at the bottom of the river  You must, he said go and see the general manager at once. He is waiting.
I did not see the real significanse of that at once.
I asked myself what I was to do there, now my boat was lost . The repair when I brought the oieces to the station , took some months.
My first interview with the manager was curios. He inspired uneasiness.
There were rumors that a very important station was in jeopardy, and its chief , Mr. Kurtz , was ill.
The word ivoty rang in the air.
     Various things happened.
One evening a grass shed burst into blaze. A nigger was being beaten near by . I saw him, later, for several days, sitting in a bit of shade looking very sick and trying to recover himself.
As I approched the glow from the dark. I found myself at the back of two men , talking I heard the name of Kurtz pronunced the words " take advantage of this unfortunated accident " One of the men was the manager . The otrher man remained. He was first class agent, young. He asked me to his room . I perceived that this young aristocrat had not only a silver-mounted dressing case but also a whole candle all to himself. The manager was the only man suppposed to have right to candles. To this felloe was the making bricks but there was not a fragment of a brick anywhere in the station , and he hadbeen more than a year . They were all waiting for something. The only real fellingwas a desire to get appointed to trading part where ivory was to be had, so they could earn percentages. They intrigued and standered and hated each other only on that account.
Then I noticed a small scketch in oils To my question he said MR. kurtz had painted, he also said that he was a prodigy an emissary of oity, science, and progress.
We went outside. The beaten nigger groaned somewhere. This will preven the conflagrations, punishement is the only way, he the man with the mustaches. He noticed my companion and become crestfallen all at once. Beyond the fence the forest stood up spectrally in the moonlight.
